Monday Club

 

Fortnightly on a  Monday

 

Time – 7pm – 9pm

 

Monday club is one of the quieter clubs (sometimes). We have about 25 regular members of various abilities. Our activities comprise of jigsaws, colouring, browsing through books or crafts in the refectory. Normally a pool tournament is being played in the games room (of which Alan occasionally loses), and cricket, curling or go karting in the main hall.

 

At 8pm we stop for tea and biscuits, the tuck shop is opened and the members can buy cans of drinks, crisps or sweets. We draw our raffle at this time and we use the money for activities and parties. After tea Alistair becomes the games Master and we play hang man, he also turns his hand to Bingo Caller.

 

In the summer we open the doors in the main hall and venture onto the green to play cricket or bowls and we occasionally enjoy a walk around the Abbey.
