Northampton Mencap

The voice of learning disability in Northampton

Volunteering

All of our clubs are supported by a team of volunteers and we are always looking for more people to get involved.

Volunteering

Volunteering is personally satisfying, great fun and really rewarding, so please think about giving us some of your time – as little as a couple of hours a week can help enormously.

There are no special qualifications or experience needed to become a volunteer. Many of our volunteers had no experience of working with people with a learning disability before joining us.

You can:

  • increase your confidence
  • meet new people and make new friends
  • have fun
  • feel good about yourself

Volunteering looks good on a CV and can count towards the Duke of Edinburgh award.

Have a look at our current volunteering opportunities below. If you are interesting in volunteering, please contact Muriel by emailing muriel@northamptonmencap.org.uk or phoning 01604 874710.

We look forward to hearing from you!
